UPDATE: After contacting the White Hall School District Deltaplex News is to that Te bus was somewhere where it was not supposed to be, and the accident was at a low speed as the bus driver was attempting to turn around.
Despite initial reports to the contrary, there was one student on board at the time of the accident, with neither the driver nor the student being injured.
ORIGINAL STORY:
A White Hall school bus has been involved in an accident on River Road near Tar Camp just outside of Redfield according to numerous sources.
Law enforcement sources tell Deltaplex News it is believed that the bus hit a patch of ice, leading to the accident.
White Hall is the only school district in Jefferson County that elected to have class on Thursday. The district went with a delayed start. Classes began at 10 a.m.
