Wednesday is United Way Day on Oldies 1013 and this week Jason Duren was joined by Ollie Merritt of Voices for Children who said the organization had just completed their annual golf tournament which was very successful and is their largest fund raiser each year.
Merritt said the goal is to spread the word about what Voices for Children does and when asked what it does, answered this way.
Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Merritt when the next training for volunteers who want to fill one of those 30 vacant spots will occur.
Horne then asked how many nights the training lasts and after they are trained, what is the commitment to children.
“How often is that?” Horne asked.
