UAPB Soccer: Musungu, Riedel Earn SWAC Weekly Honors

Pine Bluff, AR – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women’s soccer tabbed two student athletes for this week’s Southwestern Athletic Conference performance honors.

Makaila Riedel was named Goalkeeper of the week after a stellar weekend against Alabama A&M and Alabama State. Rieldel posted two clean sheets in the matches, including six saves for the Lady Lions out of seven total Alabama A&M shots, and collected five saves for the Lady Lions out of eight total Alabama State shots.

Brisha Musungu earns her second Defensive Player of the week honor after playing 90 total minutes in both matches against Alabama A&M and Alabama State, anchoring the defense to hold both teams without a goal. Musungu also scored her fourth goal of the season in the 52nd minute on a free kick for the game-winning goal against Alabama A&M.
