PRAIRIE VIEW, TX —Kyle Brown 23 points performance lifts the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men’s basketball team over Prairie View A&M 75-64 on the road Saturday

The Golden Lions had four players score in double figures, led by Kyle Brown, who had 23 points, six rebounds and five assists. Klemen Vuga added 16 points and seven rebounds and Doctor Bradley chipped in as well with a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

How It Happened

After falling behind 2-0, UAPB went on a 7-0 run with 19:14 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Brown, to take a 7-2 lead. The Golden Lions then lost some of that lead, but still entered halftime with a 32-31 advantage. UAPB did most of its first half damage in the paint, scoring 28 of its 32 points close to the basket.

UAPB kept its lead intact before going on a 10-0 run, finished off by Reinhart’s jumper, to grow the lead to 75-64 with seven seconds to go in the contest, The Golden Lions held onto that lead for the rest of the game for the 75-64 win. UAPB took care of business in the paint, recording 26 of its 43 points in the lane.
