UAPB Football Media Day & Golden Lions Fan Fest Day Set For Aug. 20 At Simmons Bank Field

PINE BLUFF, AR. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Athletics Department announces the Golden Lions Fan Fest/Media Day to kickoff the 2022 season Saturday, Aug. 20. This event is scheduled to take place at Simmons Bank Field, which marks the beginning of the 2022-23 athletic year and will give fans the opportunity to hear from UAPB student-athletes, coaches, Alumni President Kymara Seals and Director of Athletics Chris Robinson.

The Golden Lions Fan Fest event will begin at noon, allowing fans to get their first look at the UAPB football team during media day. During the event, fans will have the opportunity to meet student-athletes from other sports, purchase season and single-game tickets, join the UAPB Alumni Chapter, Letter A Club, and give to the UAPB Athletics Foundation. Season ticket holders will also have the opportunity to take a commemorative Season Ticket Holder photo and much more.

This event allows fans their first opportunity to interact with the programs, including meeting student-athletes and coaches with the opportunities for photos, autographs, games, and music.

Admission and parking are free for the event and complimentary food and soft drinks will be served.

Starting at noon at Simmons Bank Field, you will have a chance to hear from Director of Athletics Chris Robinson, UAPB Alumni President Kamari Seals, UAPB football Coach Doc Gamble, along with soccer coach Erik Solberg, volleyball coach Gabrielle Floyd, baseball coach Carlos James, golf coach Roger Totten, softball coach Michael Bumpers, women’s basketball coach Dawn Thornton, men’s basketball coach Solomon Bozeman, and men’s and women track & field/cross country coach Christopher McCoy.
