UAPB Baseball Coach Carlos James Releases Official Statement
The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and Head Baseball Coach Carlos James will officially part ways after 14 seasons at the expiration of his current contract.
The Pine Bluff native took over the UAPB program in 2011, and was named SWAC Coach of the year in 2013. He led the Golden Lions to 3 consecutive first place finishes in the SWAC’s western division from 2014-16, and was instrumental in the building of the Torii Hunter Baseball, Softball, and Little League Complex, the Simmons Bank Pavilion at Bill Jones field.
James has impacted countless young men in the Golden Lions program as well as in the Pine Bluff community. His influence reaches beyond the baseball diamond, helping develop boys into productive successful young men.
