During a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said Officer Mike Merritt responded to the reported theft and took a report.

Detective Corey Wilfong reported that he questioned Henderson who waived his right to an attorney and agreed to make a statement.

Rhodes was also questioned and said he did not tell Henderson that he had permission to take the scrap metal and said the metal was worth more than the $38 the men were paid.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $5,000 bond for Henderson, who has no prior convictions or pending charges, and a $25,000 bond for Rhodes, who has two prior felony convictions. Both men were told to come back to court March 28.
