A two-vehicle accident near Stuttgart Sunday resulted in the death of two people.
According to a preliminary report, a 2004 Chevrolet driven by Tyler Earls, 38, was westbound on Highway 165 when the vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2007 BMW driven by Shawnna Freeman, 60.
Earls and Freeman both died in the accident which was reported at 3:32.
The deaths bring to 283 the number of people killed on the state’s highways so far this year.
