One Sheridan woman was killed and another one was injured in a head on collision Thursday afternoon in the 8300 block of Highway 35 in rural Saline County, according to a report from the Arkansas State Police.
According to the report 30-year-old Bailey M. Daniel if Sheridan was driving a 2011 Nissan Rogue northbound on Highway 35 when she crossed the center line, hitting a 2017 GMC Yukon head on that was driven southbound by 60-year-old Sharon K. Pledger at 3:40 p.m.
Daniel was pronounced dead at the scene while Pledger survived the crash and was transported to UAMS for injuries she received in the crash.
Trooper Austin Kennedy reports the weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.
To date 443 people have died in crashes on Arkansas roads and highways in 2024.
