Sheridan Mayoral candidate Justin Wise discusses why he should be elected

The son of the current Mayor of Sheridan is asking voters to allow him to succeed his father in office.

Justin Wise is the son of  Mayor Joe Wise, who has been Mayor since 1990 and has worked for the City of Sheridan since 1971.

Joe Wise is retiring at the end of this year and his son is one of two candidates running for the seat in a run-off election on Dec. 6.

Appearing on the Oldies 1013 morning show Wednesday, Justin Wise was asked why he wanted to be mayor and responded this way.

Morning show host Greg Horne asked Wise if he would like to see Sheridan continue to grow and if elected, what would he do to make that happen.

Wise went on to say that for Sheridan to continue to grow, it needs to focus on sustained growth.

Early voting in Sheridan began Tuesday and the polls will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on  Dec. 6.

Wise is facing youth minister Cain Nattin in the run-off.
