A 96-year-old Sheridan man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Monday morning.
According to a preliminary report, Harvey E. Gatlin was eastbound on Highway 46 in the 2000 block when the 2008 GMC he was driving veered across the south side of the roadway, then rotated in a counterclockwise and flipped over on its roof.
He was pronounced dead at a Little Rock hospital.
The accident was reported at 7 a.m. and the death was the 467th so far this year on the state’s highways.
