UPDATE: The FAA has provided a preliminary report to Deltaplex News following a plane crash that took place in Lincoln County Wednesday night.
According to the report the plane has been identified as a Beechcraft Baron 58P with a registration number N138TL. The crash happened around 6:45 p.m. with only the pilot on board, according to the report.
The plane is a fixed wing, multi-engine plane registered to Harvest International Ministries, Inc. out of Texarkana, Arkansas. The plane was manufactured in 1981.
No information on what caused the crash is available at this time.

A pilot is alive following a plane crash in Lincoln County Wednesday evening.
The crash scene was located off of Alexander Road in Lincoln County following an extensive search. Multiple sources on the scene tell Deltaplex News the pilot is alive following the crash and has been transported by EASI Paramedics for medical attention.
While the exact plane has not been identified to Deltaplex News multiple sources tell us it is believed to be a small plane. Additionally, multiple sources tell Deltaplex News the plane was scheduled to arrive at Grider Field around 5 p.m. when MECA received a call at 7:09 p.m. from the pilot stating he had crashed.
A search and rescue mission was then launched by the Jefferson County and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the plane was eventually located in Lincoln County.
Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Young tells Deltaplex News that Lincoln County Deputies, Star City Firefighters, and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies located the crash scene with the help of a citizen.
Law enforcement personnel were still on scene at 8:45 p.m.

On February 5, 2025, at approximately 7:02 pm the Metropolitan Emergency Communications Association (MECA) received a phone call from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) advising that a plane, was scheduled to land at the Grider Field Airport, Pine Bluff, AR, two hours ago and that they had not heard from the pilot.
At approximately 7:09 pm MECA received a phone call from a person stating he was the pilot of the plane and had crashed. Jefferson and Lincoln County Deputies, Arkansas State Police, as well as other first responders and Grider Field Airport personnel began a search for the pilot.
At approximately 8:00 pm the pilot, along with his plane, were located in Lincoln County by Sheriff’s Deputies. The pilot appears to have no serious injuries and there were no other persons onboard the plane. No one was injured on the ground and no property appears to be damaged.
