A Pine Bluff man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly shot two people during an altercation.
Stephen Colbert, 47, was taken into custody after police responded to a reported shooting at 701 W. 23rd Ave. and when they arrived Colbert told them that he had accidently shot two people.
Reading from an affidavit from Detective Corey Wilfong, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King told the court what the investigation showed.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $5,000 bond for Colbert, who King said had no prior convictions or pending charges, after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with two counts of first-degree battery.
Colbert said he would hire his own attorney and was ordered to have no contact with the victims until the case is settled.
