The Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services Department became the first fire department in the state to be recognized as “pediatric ready” through the Arkansas Pre-hospital Pediatric Readiness Program.
The Department was recognized during the Monday meeting of the City Council.

The program is primarily designed for EMS services and fire departments who respond to 911 emergencies involving pediatric patients to insure that those patients receives the proper care prior to getting to a hospital.
