The Pine Bluff School District has been using a year-round schedule since last July when it switched from the former nine-month model that had been used for decades.
Appearing on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show this week, District Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree was asked if kids, teachers and parents have been approached to see how they like the new schedule and if a decision has been made if it will continue.
Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Barbaree if the district had calculated things like absences in the new system verses the old system and she responded this way.
Horne then said “so basically you will have more breaks.”
