Patrick Lockett, director of Pine Bluff Code Enforcement and a native of the city is one of two candidates for Zone 7 of the Pine Bluff School District Board.
A graduate of Pine Bluff High School, Lockett appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show where he was asked if he had talked to current Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree or other members of the board about his candidacy.
Enrollment in the district has declined and Morning Show host Greg Horne told Lockett he thought the new high school building will help to reverse that trend and ask Lockett his thoughts on increasing enrollment.
Horne noted that both the Pine Bluff School District and the Watson Chapel School District, which is also getting a new high school, are spending a lot of money, tax money.
