Hot Springs National Park man was killed Monday morning in a one-vehicle accident in Saline County.
According to a preliminary report, James M. Schoggin was southbound on Highway 228 near Peeler Bend on a 2003 Suzuki GSX R600 and while negotiating a left curve, the vehicle left the roadway on the right side and traveled down an embankment where the driver was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was reported at 2 a.m. and the death was the 298th so far this year on the state’s highways.
