A house fire located at 608 East 17th Avenue early Saturday morning left one person dead according to a release from Pine Bluff Fire & Emergency Services.
According to the release fire personnel were dispatched to the scene at 3:17 a.m. for a residential house fire. Upon arrival fire personnel advised that the house was fully involved with fire and smoke.
Crews then began operations to extinguish the fire and to perform a search of the residence. A victim was located in the living room, where they had succumbed to their injuries from the fire.
At that the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office was dispatched to the scene of the fire to pronounce the victim dead.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
