William Lee Keffer of DeWitt, Arkansas went to meet his loving wife, Lolita, at their holy home and farm on February 3, 2025. He was born on February 4, 1932, to Oscar Lee and Amelia Keffer. He was the oldest of their four children. William Lee was known as a hard-working farmer, a dedicated family man, and an accomplished outdoorsman.
In 1967, William borrowed $6,000 from the bank and purchased a John Deere tractor, disc, and a drill to start his own farm. He paid off his loan at the end of the crop year, and did not require a crop loan for the remainder of his years farming. During his years farming, he expanded his farm to approximately 1,800 acres.
William Lee was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Lolita Keffer, son Charles Ray Keffer, sister Charlene Staton, brother W.M. Keffer, grandson Grant Keffer, and granddaughter Kerry Keffer.
William Lee is survived by his brother Larry Keffer; his children Steve Keffer (Karen), Mary Ann Case (Ronnie), and David Keffer; grandchildren Christopher Lee Keffer (Brittany), Lisa Riggins (Greg), and Dylan Keffer (Aubrey); daughter-in-law Terri Keffer; and his great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by Lolita's cat, Abby, who he had many late night and early morning conversations with that will not be forgotten.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5 at Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a pecan tree or making a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Children's Hospital.
