Will Steele, 14
2010-2025

Will Steele died unexpectedly on January 28, 2025 at his home in Benton. He was born April 26, 2010 in Little Rock, to Whitney Williams Steele and Nick Steele.

An only child and grandchild, he was treasured by his family and loved by many friends.

Will was an accomplished student, but more than that, he loved God, his friends, soccer, and gaming, and rarely a night went by when the sounds of one or more of those wasn’t heard throughout the house or on a soccer pitch somewhere in Central Arkansas.

Will was curious, kind, deeply empathetic, and funny with a wit that belied his short time on this earth. When soccer wasn’t in season (and sometimes when it was), you could find him fishing or riding side-by-sides with his dad, hunting with his Pappaw, or humoring his mom with a movie on the couch. He loved to travel and was on track to visit all 50 states before his 18th birthday.

Will was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Leo “Joel” Steele, and his great-grandparents, Jetty and Lewis Barefield and Dorothy Williams. He is lovingly remembered by his parents, his grandparents Kay Steele, Cindy Williams, and Terri and Harvey Williams, his uncles Jordan Williams and Brian Steele, many cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be Friday, January 31, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Little Rock by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors of Pine Bluff. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Trinity Presbyterian Church with Reverend Jeff Price officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m., Saturday afternoon at Philadelphia Cemetery near Prattsville.

The family requests memorials take the form of contributions to Montreat Conference Center, 401 Assembly Drive, Montreat, NC 28757. The family will be setting up a memorial in Will’s memory soon.
