Wayne Odom, 78, of Pine Bluff, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Born Charlie Wayne Odom March 12, 1946 in Elizabeth, Louisiana, he was a son of Riley Odom and Lizzie Dial Odom.

Wayne was reared and received his early education in Louisiana before moving to Arkansas with his family shortly before he entered high school. He graduated from Pine Bluff High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Wayne worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was a member of Greenlee Baptist Church and active in the local VFW Chapter 4455.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Chris Odom; two brothers, Riley Odom, Jr. and Carlton Ray Dial; and sister, Lois Thompson.

Survivors include his loving wife, Frankie Bishop, whom he married in 1973 in Pine Bluff; daughter, Katherine Odom; and two sisters, Peggy Falls and Helen Reynolds.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 11, 2024, at Brown Cemetery with Brother James Watson officiating by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. Mr. Odom will be in state at Monday morning at Robinson’s from 9 am until 11:30 a.m. prior to the graveside service.
