1930-2024
W. D. Noles, age 94, of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 18, 2024.
William Doice Noles was born April 23, 1930 at Mt. Ida, Arkansas to the late Monroe Weaver Noles and Aurelia Gabbert Noles. He served in the Arkansas Army National Guard.
For 38 years. Mr. Noles worked in maintenance at Southern Bag Plant (later Georgia Pacific), retiring in 1992.
He was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church. He also loved hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Preceding him in death are his first wife of 55 years, Ernestine Cooper Noles; his second wife of eight years, Rosalie Williams Manning Noles; a brother, Vernon Noles; and two sisters, Sylvia Henderson and Gretta Mae Glover.
Survivors include his children, Carroll Noles (Robin) of Pine Bluff and Libby Waters (Mike) of Maumelle; a brother, Herman Noles of Little Rock; three sisters, Dorothy Rogers of Mooresville, NC, Lynn Howard of Mt. Ida, and Margarette Coon of Dallas; five grandchildren, Amber Cannell (Kevin), Ashley Wright (Corey), Kelli Gershner (David), Jonathan Mertens (Lauren) and Justin Mertens (Kaila); and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, November 22, 2024, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Robinson & Fuller White Hall Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Brother Shawn Cuthbertson and Brother Nathan Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery.
