Thelma Louise Evans, age 85 of Bearden died Monday, December 9, 2024 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was born September 10, 1939 in Ouachita County, Arkansas. She was a member of White Oak Assembly of God Church in Bearden.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ira Walthall and Mamie Amanda Moore Walthall; husband, George Winfred Evans; two brothers, Jesse Walthall and Johnny Walthall; four sisters, Helen Mosley, Ruby Mosley, Dorothy Quarles, Gladys Walthall; and special friend, Button Clemons.
Thelma is survived by five brothers, Pete Walthall of Bearden, Bill Walthall of Fordyce, Bud Walthall of Bearden, James Walthall of Bearden, Don Walthall of Little Rock, two sisters, Barbara Tidwell of Bearden, Melba Hunt of Fordyce; step-son, James David Moore of Ozark; special family friend, Kristi Emerson Burkholder and her children Kathan and Colton Emerson of Bearden.
Visitation will be Thursday 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Rev. Robbie Hoover officiating. Burial will follow at Evans Cemetery near Bearden.
