Stanley Edward Dorn was born October 17, 1963, in Pine Bluff Arkansas to the late Curtis Dorn, Sr. and Erma Lee Henderson Dorn in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was the youngest of ten children: Gloria Johnson, Freddie L. Dorn, Andrew Dorn, Curtis Dorn, Jr., Thomas Dorn, and Arthur Ray Dorn, all of which preceded him in death. At the age of thirteen, Stanley joined Old St. James Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. G. W. Westbrook, and then much later attended Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church.
Stanley attended the Watson Chapel and Pine Bluff School districts, where he graduated from Pine Bluff High School in May of 1982. In 1983, he enlisted in the United States Army in Fort Bliss, TX. where he served his country for two years before a traumatic injury. Stanley returned to Pine Bluff in 1985 shortly after his discharge from the military, then relocated to Austin, Texas where he remained until his untimely passing.
Stanley leaves to cherish his memory three brothers: Silas Dorn, Austin, TX., Emmitt Dorn (Melba), Phoenix, AZ., and Columbus (Shorty) Dorn, Pine Bluff, Arkansas. One aunt, Josephine Dorn of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Stanley did not have any children of his own, but his little cousin Trequise Shubert held an incredibly special place in his heart.
