1937-2024
Shirley Noreda Womble Oswald of Arkadelphia, Arkansas was born December 13, 1937 in Sheridan, the daughter of the late Lewis Lee and Willie Lee Hatcher Womble. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and a retired administrative assistant. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, being outdoors, gardening, her cats and dogs.
Ms Oswald died Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at her granddaughter’s home in Benton at the age of 86.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George N. Oswald; brothers, Troy Womble, James Womble; sister, Marie Bunch; great grandson, Biently Lewellen.
Survivors: son, George Paul Oswald (Anne) of Bridgeport, WA; daughter, Noreda Ford (Dewey) of Sheridan; brothers, Bobby Womble of Texas, Dean Womble(Sandra) of Texas; sister Betty Jean Richardson of Hot Springs; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral service will be Friday, December 13, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Breast Cancer Research or Humane Society.
