1947-2025
Sherrie Ann Holderfield Hargrove was born to Ross Moore and Robert Lee (Robbie) Holderfield on August 24, 1947. She saw her Savior's face on January 17, 2025.
Sherrie was married to Adam Franklin Hargrove, Jr. on March 4, 1972, at Unity Missionary Baptist Church in DeWitt, Arkansas. They had one son Bradley on November 16, 1979.
Sherrie was both a loving wife and devoted mother. She was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church, where she served the Lord in many capacities. Sherrie was a teacher for the DeWitt Public Schools for 28 years before retiring in 1997. She then taught the Adult Education program at PCC for 6 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Cora Moore, a niece Susan Moore, and a nephew Kyle Hargrove.
Sherrie is survived by her husband Frankie, son Bradley, her beloved grandchildren Reese, Riley, and Barnes Hargrove, her sister Terrie Holderfield Oakes (Randy), her brother and sister in laws Steve and Debbie Hargrove and Mark and Joyce Hargrove. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, many cousins, and numerous friends.
Visitation will be from 5:30-7:00 p.m. January 20 at Essex Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. January 21 at Unity Missionary Baptist Church with burial in DeWitt Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the DeWitt Public Library, Caring and Sharing Food Pantry, or Gideons International.
