Sara Beth Herrington Henderson, 62 of McGehee, AR. passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Born March 14, 1962, to Spencer Blake Herrington, Sr., and Minnie Pearl Goodson of Bonita, Louisiana. She graduated from Montrose High School and graduated college from The University of Arkansas at Monticello.

Sara Beth’s friends and family will always remember her tireless energy, love and support she showed to family, her community, and to anyone in need. Sara was a teacher and math facilitator at McGehee School District for over 25 years. Sara served as a past President of Delta Country Club Ladies Golf and DCC board member. She also served on the McGehee Owlfest committee for several years. Sara will be remembered as a community leader with a servant’s heart. During Hurricane Katrina, she helped to organize the McGehee relief center for displaced hurricane evacuees making sure all were housed and fed. Her tireless energy spilled over to everyone she met because she made them feel welcomed and loved.

Known for her style and energy, Sara Beth successfully owned and operated Sara B Clothing where her clothes and expert stylist techniques were loved and worn proudly by many.

She is survived by her parents and husband of thirty-eight years, Ronny Wayne Henderson and her beloved sons, Austin and daughter in love, Anna Lauhon of Hamburg, AR. Case Herrington Henderson of McGehee and his fiancé, Gracie Riley of Hamburg.

She was Honey to the lights of her life, grandsons Ezra Blake and Asa Macaul Henderson of Hamburg. Sara is also survived by two brothers, Spencer Blake Herrington Jr. and his wife Debbie of Calhoun, LA and Charles Frederick Herrington and his wife Amy of Bonita, LA. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024, at First Methodist Church in McGehee. There will be no burial following the service.

Serving as pallbearers are Bradley Holt, Bryce Moss, Zack Lauhon, Zach Jones, Dylan Ledet, and Alex McGaha.
