1962-2025
Randy Jewett of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 30, 1962 at Jacksonville, Arkansas, the son of the late Edgar Jewett and Helen Burnett Harper.
He was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. He liked to fish and he liked the Razorbacks. Those were his “likes”, but make no mistake, Randy LOVED his family. He would travel any distance and regardless of how sick he was (and wouldn’t admit), he felt the best medicine was watching them participate in sports, or cheer, or sing on stage. He never cared much for all the things that most consider marks of success. While others would brag about their trucks or houses or any number of other things they’d buy, he was perfectly content bragging on his grandbabies and something they’d done. Randy never claimed to be anything buy a simple country man, but he knew that all those fancy things others struggled to get, would eventually rust and decay, but those memories made with his family would bring him joy then, and all the way home. He ran his race and leaves behind something much more valuable than gold and riches. He leaves his family a legacy of the love and pride he felt for each of them.
Mr. Jewett died Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, at the age of 63. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Randall Keith Jewett. We rejoice today that he finally was reunited with Randall and fully realize that Heaven will never be the same. He’s also survived by his step-father, Jesse Harper, and a sister, Debbie Greer.
