1951-2025
Patricia Lynne Murphy, 73 of Gould passed away Friday, February 28, 2025 at her home. She was born July 14, 1951 in Dumas to the late Robert “Bob” R. and Mary Sue Overton Murphy. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Gould, was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and was a retired data entry clerk for Leisure Arts. She enjoyed cooking which began at an early age in their Grandma Murphy’s kitchen, reading, ceramics, crocheting, music, and all things art. She loved her family and friends and she loved trying new things. To know Lynne was to love Lynne. Once you met her you would never forget her. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a great niece, Blaire Elizabeth Carlton.
Survivors include 2 sisters, Claudia (David) Georgini of Gould and Barbara A. (Vaugh Giddens) Blair of Sulphur Springs, TX; 1 great nephew, Jake Thurman; 2 special nieces, Cara Dee Lennox and Mary Melissa Blair; and many extended friends and family.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
