Pam Sisson Shelby, age 77, of Fordyce, passed to heaven Tuesday, February 18, 2025. She was born December 18,1947 in Fordyce, AR to the late Cletus and Vera Pearl Sisson. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a nurse in the community for 30 years. She loved serving her Lord Jesus Christ and worked with children and the elderly. She was a hairstylist and loved visiting nursing homes to make ladies feel beautiful. She also enjoyed a medical mission trip to serve the people of Guatemala.
Pam is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda Brooks. She will be missed dearly by her friends and family.
She is survived by her three daughters; Constance Jackson of St. Johns, FL, Pamela Barrett and husband Mike of Mt. Juliet, TN and Stephanie Shelby of Thorton, AR. She has 8 grandchildren; Cruz Jackson, Canaan Jackson, ChristaBella Jackson, Michael Barrett, Shelby Barrett, Arianna Smith, Reuben Smith and wife Leslee, and Dylan Young. She also has 2 great grandchildren Nova Ryan and Max Smith.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. John’s Place for social/activity. Visitation will be at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce, AR, Tuesday, February 25 from 6pm to 8 pm. Service will be Wednesday, February 26 at 10:00 am at Benton Funeral Home with Rev. David Landers officiating. Pam will be honored by the Nursing Honor Guard for her life and service.
