1937-2025
Opal Irene Cullins, 87, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2025.
She was born June 22, 1937, in Dewitt to Garland Pete and Vivian Kerns Cullipher.
She graduated from Gillette High School and worked for 49 years for Hudson Pulp and Paper.
She was a member of Matthew’s Memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, being outdoors, fishing, traveling, and going to gospel singings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Roy Cullipher, Larry Cullipher, and an infant brother.
Survivors include her daughter, Dina Plumlee (Joey) of Star City; three grandchildren, Zach Melhorn (Taylor), Nic Scherff, Chloe Plumlee; one great-grandchild, Asher Melhorn; a brother, Thomas Cullipher of South Carolina; and a very special friend, Johnnie Whitehead of White Hall.
Visitation will be at Robinson’s Friday, 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2:30 p.m., in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Bill Hilburn officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Rison.
