Naomi Louise Palfreeman Dunahoe passed away April 17, 2025, at Belleview Nursing home in Monticello, Arkansas. She was surrounded by her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born July 30, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, she lived most of her life in McGehee, Arkansas. Naomi was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Thad Ridge Dunahoe and daughter, Sharon Doherty. Naomi was a faithful servant of the Lord and lifelong member of McGehee First Assembly of God Church where she served many years as a Missionette leader. One of her favorite past times was reading her bible. She was an avid golfer and bowler. She enjoyed baking and was well known for her hand cut sugar cookies, crafting the shapes by hand. She was an accomplished seamstress, often making her own patterns and sewing beautiful clothes for her daughters. She loved travelling and seeing new places. She was happiest when surrounded by her family, and loved their visits.
She is survived by daughters Twilla Hardin and Karon (Kent)White of McGehee, and son-in-law Robbie Doherty.Affectionately called Nana, Naomi loved granddaughter Kara (Jonathan) Cowen, grandsons Clay (Sarah) Hardin, Ryan (DeAnna) Doherty, Dr. Thad (Sara) Hardin, Carl (Heather) Hardin, Justin (Marke) White, and Neal Doherty; great-grandchildren Thomas Clark Hardin, IV, and Brooklyn and Vivien Hardin; Ridge and Brady Hardin; Layla, Claire and Whitlee Hardin; Ayden and Connor Doherty; Layne (Alana Wiley) and Kaylee Curtis; Christian, Cruz, Kynleigh, Mavryck and Saylor White; great-great grandchildren Jayce, Bodhi and Delilah Curtis.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 19, 2025, 10 a.m., at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Home, McGehee. Memorial service will immediately follow, at 11 a.m. Officiant will be Brother Roger Pierce of Watson Assembly of God Church., assisted by Patty Posey.
