Mitchell Ray Bronson was born July 3, 1953 to the late Elbert Bronson, Sr. and Blanchie Burse Bronson in DeWitt, Arkansas. He was the fourth of ten children. Mitchell Ray departed this life on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona.
He attended DeWitt Public Schools in DeWitt, graduating with the class of 1972. In September 1972, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Upon returning from his service, he became a police officer in DeWitt.
Mitchell Ray was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Robert and Dora Burse and Harvey Brunson and Julie Wright, and one brother Jeremiah Bronson.
Mitchell Ray leaves to cherish his memory three children - one daughter Ciara Bronson Banks of Oakland, CA and two sons Mitchell Ray Bronson, Jr. of Lincoln, NE and Damain Mariner of Lansing, MI; seven grandchildren C J, Czion, Calari, Czaria, Kaidence, Surayyah, and Tecarre; one great-granddaughter Royalty; three brothers Elbert Bronson, Jr. (Lillie) of DeWitt, AR, Alonzo Bronson (Earnestine) of Laurel, MD, and Cleophus Bronson (Lori) of San Diego, CA; five sisters Mary A. Bronson, Carolyn J. Bronson, Patricia A. Bronson, Darlene Bronson Avery, and Marlene Bronson, all of DeWitt, AR; a special niece Nikki D. Bronson; special friends Cynthia Simon, Joyce Smith, Cortex Montgomery, Gwen Joyner Duncan, Elaine Mitchell, Bernard Jennings, Carol O’Donell Vanhooks, James O’Neal, Debra Bradford, Sherry Hobbs, Charles Bradford, Linda Jackson Phillips, Elmer London, and Buddy Bradford; and a host of other relatives and friends.
