1932-2024
Minnie Bell Crow, age 92, passed away December 8, 2024. She was born January 8, 1932 in Victoria, Texas to the late Lee Arthur Davidson and Fadra Inez Williams. Minnie attended Bayou Mason Baptist Church. When her children were small she was a wonderful home room mother at their school and a 4-H leader many of those years.
She was employed by the postal service for many years, a volunteer for the Chicot Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, she sewed for several people in the community as well as making most of her children’s clothes. She loved preparing meals for her family and keeping her yard full of beautiful flowers. She was still actively playing cards twice a week and every opportunity she got she was sitting at a pokeno table. She and a group of friends read and swapped out books with each other
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, James William “J.W” Crow, Son; Dennis Crow, Brothers; Julius Davidson, Calvin Davidson, Alvin Davidson; Sisters: Mary Alice Smith, Virginia Callaway, Christine Davidson and two great grandchildren; Payton Wells and William Funkhouser.
She is survived by her sons Glenn (Sharon) Crow of Tillar, AR, Spencer (Anna) Crow of Bartlett, TN, Daughter in Law Brenda Crow of Lake Village, AR; Daughters: Loretta Crow of Lake Village, AR and Connie Effrein of Lake Village, AR; Brother; Roy Davidson of Hanson, KY and 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
A Visitation will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 1:30 – 2:30 pm at Bayou Mason Baptist Church in Lake Village, Arkansas. Funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm with Bro. Jonathan Powers Officiating. Interment will follow at Dermott Cemetery in Dermott, Arkansas.
