1943-2025
Marylyn Patricia Wright, 81, of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 6, 2025. She was born October 4, 1943 in Pine Bluff to Hilliard Corbett Bottom and Lillian Juanita Hall Bottom.
Marylyn was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School, then attending The Business College. She was a housewife and also worked as a resource teacher from 1993-2013 at LL Owen Elementary School in the Watson Chapel School District. Marylyn was a former Worthy Matron of the White Sulphur Order Of The Eastern Star, Chapter 583. She loved to read, loved a good puzzle book, and loved spoiling the grandkids and grand puppy dog, Ace. Marylyn was a member of Summit Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Tommie E. Wright, whom she married September 19, 1964 in Pine Bluff; daughters, Helen Brooks, Kelli Pierce (Bryan) and Anita Sowell (Eddie); granddaughters, Heather Sowell, Jordan Brooks, Mary Brooks, Courtney Wilburn and Baylee Keck (Nisha); grandsons, Justin Pierce, Keegan Keck, Joshua Pierce (Lauren) and Houston Sowell; and great grandchild, Ziga Hill.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and brothers, Joe Leo Bottom, Hilliard C. “Buddy” Bottom and Robert Wesley Bottom.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, February 10, 2025 in the chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son. Lewis Hinkle and Scott Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in Lee Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday February 9, 2025.
