Margaret Ann Raney Ayecock Frank, 89, died Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Dumas, Arkansas. A longtime resident of the Jefferson Community near Dumas, Arkansas, she was born at Glendale, Arkansas on July 2, 1935, the daughter of Johnie Edgar Raney and Ellen Marie Culpepper Raney. She graduated from Glendale High School, and attended Arkansas A&M College (now the University of Arkansas at Monticello) before graduating from Arkansas State Teachers College (now the University of Central Arkansas) with a BSE in Home Economics and Science. She taught Home Economics for 13 years at Dumas High School, and later taught Science at Southeast Academy at Gould, Arkansas and Bellaire Academy at Dermott for a total of ten years.
She was married to Ralph James Ayecock for 33 years and later was married to Claud T. (Jack) Frank for 10 years. Both predeceased her.
A faithful member of First Methodist Church of Dumas, she sang in the Chancel Choir, taught the Susanna Wesley Sunday school class, and served on the Administrative Council and numerous committees. She served as president of Jefferson Friends Club and was a member of the Desha County Museum Board of Directors, the Dumas Chamber of Commerce, the Delta Diamonds Bridge Club and the Dumas Bridge Club.
She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Mae McMillan of Pine Bluff, and two nephews, Dale McMillan (Teresa) of Pine Bluff, and Scott McMillan of Glendale, a great-niece, Jennifer Hourington (Charlie), and two great-nephews, Jared McMillan and Wesley McMillan, all of Pine Bluff. Other survivors include her step-daughter Sue Frank of Little Rock and step-son Dr. Tom Frank (Anita) of Jonesboro, a step-granddaughter Sarah Uroza (Carlos), a step-grandson Dr. Robert Frank (Christy), and step-great-grandchildren Luke Uroza and Samantha Frank, all of Nashville, Tennessee.
Her funeral is scheduled for Monday, March 10, 2025, at First Methodist Church of Dumas with Rev. Rockey Starnes officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Cemetery.
