Lois Ann Tucker was born May 8, 1926, in Camden, AR, to Jewel T. and Anna Belle Means Wortham. She and her family moved to the Pine Bluff/White Hall area when she was six years of age, and she was a 1945 graduate of Pine Bluff High School. Lois was married to James Young Tucker, Jr. on April 3, 1948, and she devoted her life to being a full-time homemaker. She and J.Y. were married until his passing on July 3, 1990. Lois was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of White Hall.
Lois loved to shop, but her biggest joy was cooking for her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered for the delicious peanut brittle, cakes and pies she made.
Lois passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the age of 98. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Cherie Lynn Tucker, and a brother, George Wortham.
Survivors include her son, Gary Tucker and wife, Nancy; daughter, Sheila Jenkins and husband, Rick; four grandchildren, Jeromy Tucker, Richard Jenkins and wife, Pam, Kristen Shores and husband, Jonathan, and Nathan Jenkins and wife, Samantha; six great-grandchildren, Ashton, Tristan, Chloe, Deklan, Nash, and Addison; and a number of other relatives.
Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in the Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel followed by funeral services at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Paul Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
