It is with profound sorrow that we the caring and professional staff of the Christian Way Funeral Home, join with the entire Bridgeforth family in announcing the earthly transition of our beloved Mrs. Lillie Mae Bridgeforth.
Sister Lillie Mae Bridgeforth, 88, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas was born on March 3, 1936 in Wabbaseka, Arkansas to the late Earnest Goodloe, Sr. and Josephine Harris Goodloe. After hearing the gospel, she traveled to Little Rock, Arkansas in the early 70’s with Bro. William Alexander and Bro. Warren Williams and was baptized at Midnight. Lillie became a member of the College Heights Church of Christ where Bro. Elgie Gilbert and later Bro. Archie Davis ministered. She loved to attend gospel meetings with her sisters and friends. She taught bible classes to the young children of the church. She remained a faithful and dedicated member until her death. She also enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling, and playing dominoes.
Lillie departed this life on December 3, 2024 in Bryant, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo Bridgeforth; Two daughters – Lorene Lane; Joyce Felps; One son – Henry Lane, Jr.; Three sisters – Eva Mae Goodloe, Geneva Goodloe Harris, Mable Lee Bohannon; Five brothers – Earnest Goodloe, Jr., Larry Goodloe, Percy Goodloe, James Goodloe and Chester Goodloe.
She leaves in loving memory Three sisters – Geraldine (Francisco) Valladares (Fort Smith, AR); Viola Jordan (Little Rock, AR); Vera Collier (Wabbaseka, AR) Five Daughters – Dorothy Braggs (North Little Rock, AR), Brenda Lane (Conway, AR), Barbara (Darrell) Martin (Mabelvale, AR); Shirley Bridgeforth (Conway, AR); Janice Rucker (Pine Bluff, AR); Two sons – Glen (Antionette) Lane (Jacksonville, AR); Donald Leon (Teresa) Bridgeforth (Little Rock, AR); 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
