Kevin Dolan, 75
1949-2025

Robert Kevin Dolan, known to most as Kevin, passed away on March 13, at age 75, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family.

Born in England, Arkansas, on December 1, 1949, to Edna and Joseph Dolan, Kevin was the middle of seven siblings—welcomed into a bustling home by Michael, Terrance, and Daria, and later joined by Elizabeth "Liz," Christopher "Kit," and John. Growing up in a full house, he quickly learned the value of loyalty, humor, and standing his ground—qualities he carried with him throughout his life.

Kevin found a second home at Camp Longhorn in Burnet, Texas, first as a camper in 1963 and later as a beloved counselor for eight years and 22 terms. A true Camp Longhorn legend, he influenced generations with his humor, energy, and larger-than-life spirit. From swim bay antics to counselor campfire skits, his stories were unforgettable, and his pranks were unmatched. Voted "Favorite Counselor," he never missed an opportunity to make someone smile.

A proud England Lion and an even prouder Arkansas Razorback, Kevin’s college years at the University of Arkansas were briefly interrupted when Uncle Sam called. He served as a medic in Hawaii, an experience that deepened his compassion and reinforced his readiness to step up when needed.

After earning his degree, Kevin married Katherine Skelley Dolan, and together they raised two incredible daughters, Katherine Dolan Kinney (Sean) and Casey Dolan Beck (Jesse), whom he lovingly called “Paris and Nicole.” He was the ultimate "girl dad"—not because he could braid hair (he absolutely couldn’t), but because he taught his daughters to stand tall, speak up, and know their worth. He had a gift for seeing the good in people, always reminding his girls, “That doesn’t make them a bad person.” He was their loudest cheerleader, especially at sporting events, and was adored by his 20 nieces and nephews, as well as many great-nieces and nephews. Though not the most patient man, he more than made up for it with kindness, generosity, and a deep sense of duty to his family.

Kevin spent over 30 years at Stephens Inc. in Little Rock, where he built lifelong friendships and never passed up an opportunity for a good prank. After retiring, he settled into Fayetteville to be closer to his girls, but his greatest joy came in becoming "Pops" to his grandchildren. Betty Ruth (6), Casey and Jesse’s oldest, loved playing “Cinderella” with him so much that even her preschool teachers called him “Pops.” His grandsons, Sheppard (3) and Dolan (2), believed he hung the moon—partly because he told them he did. He cherished Razorback games and spending time with his dear friend Debbie Pyle.
Kevin lived with a big heart, a quick wit, and a fierce love for his family and friends. He never lost at Onze, the family’s favorite card game, and he never hesitated to hit the dance floor. He will be missed beyond measure, but his legacy—of love, strength, and a touch of stubbornness—will live on in the family and friends lucky enough to know him.

A visitation will be held Wednesday at 5:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in England, AR. A funeral Mass will take place Thursday at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, followed by a reception at the England Country Club House, where we will share stories, laughter, and love—just as he would have wanted
