Joyce Ann Johnson, 62 of Star City, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at her home. She was born June 24, 1962 in Dermott. She was of the Baptist faith and worked in the kitchen at Lincoln Heights Healthcare. Joyce liked watching tv, sitting on her front porch, and playing cards.
Preceding her in death was her father, Lloyd Johnson.
Survivors include her mother, Willie Mae Massie of Star City; 5 brothers, Freddie Earl Ray of Yorktown, James (Jennie) Johnson of Wichita Falls, TX, Eddie (Fatra) Johnson, Oscar (Brenda) Johnson, and Tony (Janice) Massey, all of Star City; and 3 sisters, Katie Johnson of Star City, Willie Jean (William) Jiner of Pine Bluff, and Cathy Matthews of Star City.
Funeral services are 2:00PM Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Griffin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Sherman Rochelle officiating. Visitation is 6:00-8:00PM Friday, March 21, 2025 at the funeral home. Burial at Lincoln Memorial Lawn in Grady. Pallbearers are Oscar Johnson, Jr., Kevin Johnson, Sr., Kevin Johnson, Jr., Kobe Hadley, William Jiner, Jr., and Marquise McCraney. Honorary pallbearers are Freddie Ray, Eddie Johnson, James Johnson, Oscar Johnson, and Tony Massey.
