John confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was united with Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late W.M. Freeman.
He was a graduate of Dumas High School and served for several years in the United States Army.
John leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Delois and John E. Dodds, Sr. of Dumas, Arkansas, two sons, Jonathan Dodds of Little Rock, Arkansas and Quentaviaus Wilson of Conway, Arkansas, two daughters, Dominique Davis of Little Rock, Arkansas and Tameisha Dodds of Omaha, Nebraska, one brother, Brandon Carter of Kansas City, Missouri, two sisters, Shree Taylor of Houston, Texas and Angie Madden of Little Rock, Arkansas, a special friend, Victoria Jones, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
