Jo Ann Gerard Wood, 76 of Dumas, Arkansas, passed away January 7, 2025. Born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on January 31, 1948, the daughter of the late Orville Gerard and Josephine Nastasio Gerard. Her parents, sister and brother all preceded her in death.
Jo Ann was a member of Daniel Chapel Baptist Church. She was a real estate property manager for Southland Management and ASC. Jo Ann loved her daughters, grandchildren and her great grandchild dearly. She enjoyed fishing and riding to the Dam at Pendleton.
Survivors are her three daughters, Patty (Lee) Walt, Gail Cantrell all of Dumas, Arkansas and Sharon (Heather) Cantrell of Little Rock, Arkansas, brother Oscar Gerard of Rison, Arkansas and sister Hallie Burks of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, three grandchildren Tiffany Walt O’Brien, Martin Lee Walt and Zoey Cantrell and great grandchild Ro O’Brien.
Visitation and funeral will be held at Griffin Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, visitation from 1-2 pm with services following at 2 pm, Rev. Justin Brown officiating and burial in Walnut Lake Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers: Martin Lee Walt, Wade Williams, Ricky Downen, Ricky Cantrell, Frankie Findley and Tommy Cantrell.
