1948-2025
Jerry Winston, age 76, of Sheridan, Arkansas, passed away in the company of his close family on February 2, 2025. He was born on May 7, 1948, in Sheridan, Arkansas to Mahlon Winston and Reba Wisely Winston. He is the oldest son of 3, survived by his middle brother, Jimmy Winston.
On March 28, 1969, he married his beloved wife, Marie Owens Winston in Sheridan, Arkansas where they went on to raise two sons together.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Winston; his two sons, Shannon Winston and Casey Winston; his grand-son Zack Bloodworth and his two grand-daughters, Heidi Winston, and Emily Roark. Jerry was preceded in death by his mother and father; Mahlon Winston and Reba Wisely Winston; and his youngest brother, Ricky Winston. Jerry will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Jerry loved to spend time outdoors whether he was hunting, fishing, etc. He also had a deep love for animals, mostly for his two dogs; Tigger and Zero. Jerry had an appreciation for music, and he loved listening to artists like Alan Jackson and Johnny Horton. One of his favorite songs was, “Remember When,” by Alan Jackson.
He often made wood carvings of wildlife, fish baits etc. He served in the Army National Guard. He was an electrician at the same company for 47 years.
He was a Christian man who frequently studied the word of God. He was blessed to remain in the family home he built until he went on to be with the Lord.
A memorial gathering and visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, located at 2686 US-167, Sheridan, AR 72150. Friends and family are invited to join.
