Jerimiah Pitts was born on July 22, 1962 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Bessie Casey and Arthur Pitts. He departed this life on October 22, 2024 at John L. McClellan Memorial Veteran Hospital in Little Rock.
Jerimiah accepted Christ at an early age and later moved his membership to Allen Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas, under the leadership of Rev. Gilbert Byrd, Jr.
Jerimiah attended school in the Stuttgart School District and was a member of the Class of 1980. He enlisted in the Army National Guard, serving over twenty years before retiring. Additionally, he spent many years working as a supervisor at Stuttgart Water Works before his retirement.
Jerimiah was affectionately known as JP, Coach JP, Jeri, and Mr. Pitts. He was a diehard Denver Broncos fan and an avid deer hunter. There was never a dull moment whenever he was around, because he LOVED to talk mess.
Jerimiah was preceded in death by his parents Bessie Dunbar, Arthur Pitts, Gustava Casey, and George Casey and siblings Esque Chambers and Floyd Chambers.
Jerimiah leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 36 years, Brenda Pitts; five children Tosha Flournoy, Jeremiah (Nickie) Pitts, Jr., Jonathan Pitts, Javon (Krissy) Daniels, and Tyra Pitts; grandchildren Erin, Laiah, Karrington, Carleigh, Princess, Promise, Kameron, Zykeira, Jaxon, Jia, Brycen, and Myeia; great-grandchildren Kynleigh and Arya; siblings Reather Williams, Kyra Butler, Darrah Dunbar, Tamiko Dunbar, Oneko Dunbar, Kathy Pitts, Latisha White, Connie Pitts, Shelley Taylor, Marcus Pitts, Felicia Sims, Ivory Thomas, Tamara Pitts, and Annette Williams; three aunts Willie Mae Casey, Gertrude Smith, and Ruth Pitts-London; and sister-in-law Lillie Chambers.
He was also cherished by a large and deeply connected network of family and friends who were all dear to him.
