James Michael “Mike” Manning, 69
1955-2024

James Michael “Mike” Manning of Sheridan was born March 1, 1955 in Malvern, Arkansas, the son of the late James Howard and Odie Lee Reed Manning. Mike worked as a master welder for over 37 years and was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, both listening to and playing music on his guitars, and could be found most every morning visiting and drinking coffee with his friends at the Southern Fruit Market helping solve all the world’s problems. Mike was a faithful follower of his lord and savior; a true man of god who always kept a bible close by.

Mike passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 69. He loved his family, and leaves his legacy with them, he will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents James and Odie Manning. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Croft (Anthony), sons Scott Manning (Velva), and Brian Freeman. Brothers Gene Manning (Linda) and Larry Manning (Donna) of Conway, AR. Grandchildren Rylie, Kaden, and Gunner Croft, Kaydence and Corbon Hughes, Stormi, Summer, and Canyan Freeman. Nieces and nephews Mark Manning and family, Gena Manning and Tommy Manning and family all of Conway, AR. Two great grandchildren, his furry companion and best friend Sam, as well as many friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan. Visitation will from 1:00 till service time.
