Frances Rogers Grandgeorge 94, of Heber Springs, Arkansas and formerly of Dumas, Arkansas, passed away January 9, 2025. Born March 13, 1930, in Dumas, Arkansas the daughter of the late Robert Leslie Rogers and Sarah Ellen Williams Rogers. Her parents, husband Louis Richard Grandgeorge, sons Ricky and Robert Frank Grandgeorge, two brothers John Henry Rogers and Thomas Leslie Rogers, two sisters, Robinette Ferguson and Tiny Rogers and grandson SGT Kevin Bell, all preceded her in death.
As a resident of Dumas, she was member of First Baptist Church, where she served as Secretary, taught Sunday school, music director, bible schoolteacher, and sang in numerous choirs thought the years. During her employment as a music teacher, she taught in Gillett and Bee Branch schools. After moving to Heber Springs, she attended Renew Church of Heber Springs.
Survivors are her daughters Wynn Dea Grandgeorge and Dona Grandgeorge Bell of Heber Springs, Arkansas, three sisters Melba “Don” Woodard of Star City, Arkansas, Barbara Hamilton of St. Louis, Missouri and Ann “J.L.” Dunn of Benton, Arkansas, two grandsons, Curtis Ray Bell and Chase Grandgeorge Bell and one great grandchild Tessa Lee Bell, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation and funeral will be held at Griffin Funeral Home on Friday, January 17, 2025, visitation from 10-11am with services following at 11am. Rev. Kent Dixon and Rev. Tommy Toombs officiating with burial following in Walnut Lake Cemetery.
