Eloise Thompson Weeks, 90 of Star City passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at Dalton’s Place in Star City. She was born May 26, 1934 in New Edinburg to the late Lester and Gladys Morgan Thompson. She was a retired seamstress, loved to sew, garden and cook.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Vicky Lynn Irons and Judy Dyer; 5 brothers, Cecil Thompson, Calvin Thompson, Mac Thompson, Hershel Thompson, and Jimmy Thompson; and a sister, Shirley Bearden.
Survivors include a son, Glenn (Rebecca) Dyer of Pine Bluff; 2 daughters, Paula (Mike) Weast and Stacy (Ronnie) Bates, both of Star City; 3 brothers, Gene (Patsy) Thompson of North Richland Hills, TX, Larry (Reina) Thompson of North Richland Hills, TX, and Samuel Briant of Herbine; a sister, JoAnn Cosper of White Hall; 8 grandchildren, Shannon Reeves, Matthew Irons, Stephanie McBurnett, Jonathan Weast, Danielle Robertson, Morgan Bates, Kendal Dyer, and Caleb Dyer; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild.
Visitation is 6:00-8:00PM Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City. Graveside services are 2:00PM Monday, March 17, 2025 at Reaves Cemetery in New Edinburg with Mike Weast officiating. Pallbearers are Greg Reeves, Kolby Reeves, Troy Briant, Jonathan Weast, Mike Weast, Tyson Thompson, and Brandon Ray Robertson. Honorary pallbearer is Ty Socia.
