1964-2024
Elizabeth Ann “Anna Lee” Reynolds Dean Compton was born February 3, 1964, in Altheimer, AR to the late L.C. and Ella Mae Reynolds.
She received Jesus Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion MBC under the leadership of the late Rev. Elijah Mason. She remained a faithful and active member of Mt. Zion MBC under the leadership of Pastor Darrell J. Martin where she served for years as the choir president and deaconess until her untimely departure 12/19/2024.
She attended the Altheimer School District and graduated with high honors in 1982. She attended UAPB and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1985 with a BA in Sociology. She went on to receive a double masters, with honor, in Human Resources and Education from Webster University. She was employed by the Pine Bluff School District and worked in education for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents- L.C. and Ella Mae Reynolds, one sister- Loretta Obiagwu, and two brothers- Dea. Ronnie Reynolds, Sr. and Rev. Rickey Reynolds, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories; beloved and devoted husband Gregory Compton, two sons- Micah (Jaleisha) Dean of Pine Bluff, AR, and Gregory Compton of Dallas, TX. Her Bonus children, Bria, Diamond, and Kennedy Compton all of Little Rock, AR. Xavier Compton of San Diego, CA and Christian Compton of Dallas, TX. Semaj Whitlow of Pine Bluff, AR. Her God-daughter- Shaqueena White of Pine Bluff, AR. Three granddaughters- Jay'Maria Thomas, Lailah Compton, and MiCaylah Dean. Her sisters- Cynthia Diane (Mack) White of Atlanta, GA. Tracie (Efrem) Elliott of White Hall, AR. And Renita Reynolds of Chicago, IL. Brothers- Willie Hunter of Pine Bluff, AR. LC (Monica) Reynolds, Jr. Of Chicago, IL. Sammy Martin of Birmingham, AL. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and her special aunt- Dorothy Hunter of Altheimer, AR, one uncle- Alonzo (Aleta) Hunter of Chicago, IL, and her dear friends, Pastor, church members, and coworkers to love and cherish her memories.
Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2024, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Altheimer, AR.
Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024, at New Community Baptist Church Pine Bluff, AR by Pastor Darrell Martin. Interment in Altheimer Community Cemetery Altheimer, AR by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, AR. Her body will lie in-state from 9:15 a.m. until service time.
