Edward Eugene White, Sr. “Ed”, age 73 of Humphrey, AR died Tuesday, October 29, 2024. He was born September 6, 1951 in Oakland, CA to the late Jimmie E. White and Nellie Jane White of Pine Bluff, AR.
Ed was of the Baptist faith and was a Vietnam Veteran. His favorite pastime was watching TV, especially old reruns of Mash. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ed enjoyed experiencing new things and had huge ambitions of traveling.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie E. White and Nellie Jane White. His survivors include three daughters, Eugina Ames (Charles), Pam White, and Vena White (Cory); three sons, Edward E. White, Jr. (Teresa), James White (Candi) and Henry White (Chebet); nineteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held November 2, 2024 from 12:00PM-1:30PM at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City. A graveside service will follow at 2:30PM at Sixteenth Section Cemetery near Monticello with Bro. John Marlar officiating. Pallbearers will be Edward E. White, Jr., James White, Henry White, Jacob Roberts, Nicholas Ames, and Ricky Munnerlyn.
