1955-2025
Dorothy Ann Hopkins-Jones was born September 22, 1955, in Warren, Arkansas to James and Rachel Barefield Hopkins. She departed this life Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Delta Regional Hospital in Greenville, Mississippi.
Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age and enjoyed reading her bible and praying. She enjoyed her personal relationship with our heavenly Father. She received her education from the Tillar Public School System, where she graduated. She enjoyed life and was spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded by her parents James and Rachel Hopkins, a son; Steven Miller, Sr., two daughters; Margaret and Angela Drew, one brother Jerry Hopkins and one sister Linda Lee.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory four children, Tieffa (Glen) Daniels of Arkansas City, Arkansas, Andrew Bess Jr and Tiffany Hopkins both of McGehee, Arkansas and Donald (Stracy) Hopkins of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, a special daughter Joemecka Hampton of McGehee, Arkansas, three siblings, Collins Patton of Pheonix, Arizona, Gloria (Jeff) Dyer of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Kay Lee of Tillar, Arkansas, Nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, a special sister Jacquelin (Ann) Hankins-Sewell of McGehee, Arkansas, a beloved friend Luther Allen of McGehee, Arkansas and a host of other relatives and friends.
